A print of “The Japanese Footbridge” by Claude Monet on your wall
Emerald green, pink and white patches of water lilies and the gentle arch of a footbridge reflected in the water - Monet's Japanese Footbridge brings the calm of the garden at Giverny into an interior. It is a picture for a botanical or japandi living room, a kitchen with green fronts, a bathroom with plants, and for offices and relaxation areas in hotels, where green lowers tension. A print of The Japanese Footbridge sounds best in a horizontal crop, slightly closer to a square, which matches the proportions of the original canvas. On PVC board you get a light, durable picture for damp rooms, and Dibond gives the green a matt depth and a noble texture without unwanted reflections. Enter the dimensions in the artMonte configurator and we will print Monet's garden exactly in the size of your wall.

The Japanese Footbridge
About the artwork
The arched wooden footbridge, built in 1895 in Monet's water garden at Giverny, spans the banks of a pond covered with water lilies, and willows and dense greenery close off the background. The painting of 1899 belongs to a series of a dozen or so canvases in which the artist for the first time focused on his own garden as his main subject. From these studies the famous Water Lilies later grew, and the motif of the footbridge became one of the symbols of Impressionism.
