A print of “Garden at Sainte-Adresse” by Claude Monet on your wall
The red and yellow of flowers on a terrace, the blue of the sea dotted with white sails and two flags in the wind - it is hard to find a sunnier view for an interior. A print of Garden at Sainte-Adresse is wall art for a dining room with white chairs, a veranda glazed towards the garden and the reception of a seaside guesthouse. The Monet painting in a horizontal crop, in the proportions of the original, keeps all three planes; for wide walls we recommend a panorama from the terrace to the horizon. On 5 mm acrylic glass the water and sky gain a brilliance that changes with the light of the day, and photo wallpaper turns the whole living room wall into a seaside terrace of 1867. In the artMonte configurator you simply enter the dimensions, and the print is made exactly for your wall, in centimetres, not in ready-made formats.

Garden at Sainte-Adresse
About the artwork
In the summer of 1867 Monet painted at the seaside resort of Sainte-Adresse near Le Havre, where he was staying with his family. On a terrace full of red and yellow flowers sits his father Adolphe, a couple stand at the balustrade, and above the water full of sailing ships and steamers two flags flutter. The composition of three horizontal bands - terrace, sea and sky - betrays a fascination with Japanese woodblock prints. The painting is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
