A print of “Thunderstorm Beneath the Summit” by Katsushika Hokusai on your wall
The dark cone of the mountain against clear blue, the white of snow on the summit and the stormy black of the lower part - Hokusai's woodblock print is wall art with an unusually strong, simple shape. A print of Thunderstorm Beneath the Summit suits a minimalist living room with black furniture, a japandi-style study, a bedroom with bamboo and linen or the stairwell of a modern office. A horizontal crop in the proportions of the original is the most natural; on a long corridor wall the motif also bears a slight widening into a panorama. On Dibond the blacks are deep and matt like the original paper, while a Hokusai poster on PVC board is a light, easy-to-mount version for temporary interiors. You enter the dimensions in the artMonte configurator, and we print Fuji exactly for your wall.

Thunderstorm Beneath the Summit
About the artwork
Fuji rises into a clear blue sky with a few white clouds, while at its foot a storm rages and lightning cuts through a dark cloud in the lower right corner. The woodblock print from the series Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, published around 1830-1832, is regarded as the twin of the famous Red Fuji. Hokusai showed in it the mountain calm above the elements, which touch only the people below.
