A print of “The Last Supper” by Leonardo da Vinci on your wall
A long, panoramic composition - almost twice as wide as it is tall - makes The Last Supper a natural choice above the dining table. This Leonardo da Vinci painting has accompanied family meals for generations, and a modern print of The Last Supper lets you show it in a fresh, vivid light. Muted ochres, greys and subdued reds combine well with light wood, linen and ceramics. On Dibond the picture retains the character of a wall painting; on 5 mm acrylic glass it gains depth and contrast. Have a wide wall? Wallpaper at a scale close to the original will impress as much as the refectory in Milan. It also works as living room wall art in a home with an open-plan kitchen and a large table. Fit the panorama to any length of wall: in the artMonte configurator you enter your own dimensions and we prepare the print exactly to them.

The Last Supper
About the artwork
The Last Supper shows Christ and the twelve apostles at the moment the betrayal is announced. Leonardo da Vinci painted the scene between 1495 and 1498 on the wall of the refectory of the monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, experimenting with tempera on plaster instead of traditional fresco. The perspective converges on the head of Christ, and the apostles, grouped in threes, react with sudden movement and gesture. It is one of the most analysed works of the Renaissance and a model of narrative composition.
