A print of “Woman Reading a Letter” by Johannes Vermeer on your wall
The cool blue of the jacket, a grey-white wall and light that seems to fall in from your own window - Vermeer wall art will not dominate an interior but calm it. A print of Woman Reading a Letter will look exceptionally good in a study with white bookcases, in a bedroom in shades of grey and blue, in the hall of a law firm or in a hotel room with classic decor. We recommend a vertical crop in the proportions of the original, which keeps the map above the figure's head and the pearls on the table. On Dibond the print has a matt, noble surface close to old canvas, while on 5 mm acrylic glass the blue gains depth and a soft, glassy sheen as in a museum case. You set the dimensions in the artMonte configurator: you enter the centimetres, and the print is made exactly for your wall.

Woman Reading a Letter
About the artwork
A young woman in a blue jacket stands in cool morning light reading a letter whose contents we will never know. A map of Holland hangs on the wall, pearls lie on the table, and everything is wrapped in the silence typical of Vermeer's interiors. The painting was made around 1663 in Delft and is one of the purest examples of his masterly handling of light and ultramarine blue. It belongs to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
