A print of “Boulevard des Capucines” by Claude Monet on your wall
The bustle of a great city, winter light and Paris seen from above - Boulevard des Capucines is a painting for lovers of urban atmosphere. This Claude Monet painting in a vertical format works superbly in studies, offices, cafes and modern flats in period buildings. The muted palette of greys, beiges and pink accents suits Parisian-style interiors with stucco, herringbone floors and brass lamps. A print of Boulevard des Capucines is also a gift for someone in love with Paris or with the history of Impressionism. The vertical crop fills a narrow wall in a corridor, and greatly enlarged the motif can become wallpaper in a reception area. On Dibond the cityscape gains sharpness and durability, 5 mm acrylic glass boosts the winter light, and PVC board works well in a venue. Enter any dimensions in the artMonte configurator.

About the artwork
A Parisian boulevard seen from a high floor is bathed in winter light: leafless trees, a swarming crowd of passers-by and carriages rendered with quick, dark dabs. Monet painted the view at the turn of 1873 and 1874 from the windows of the studio of the photographer Nadar, where the first Impressionist exhibition was held in 1874. Two versions of the motif were made. The depiction of a modern city in motion shocked the critics of the day. This version is in the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City.
