A print of “Death and Life” by Gustav Klimt on your wall
Not every piece of wall art has to be purely decorative. Death and Life is the Klimt painting for those who look for depth in art - ornamental flowers, intertwined bodies and a dark background form a composition with the power of a philosophical essay. A Death and Life print resonates best in a study, a library or a spacious loft-style living room, where concrete and black steel contrast with the colourful ornament. The near-square proportions make it easy to crop just the group of figures on the right - a great choice as bedroom wall art with an atmospheric mood. Dibond renders the depth of the navy blues and greys, while 5 mm acrylic glass draws out the intensity of the mosaic colours. As wallpaper the work creates a spectacular feature wall. Choose the size to the centimetre in the artMonte configurator.

Death and Life
About the artwork
On the left of the canvas, Death in a dark robe decorated with crosses gazes at an intertwined group of figures - mothers, children, lovers and the elderly sunk in sleep. Gustav Klimt worked on this painting between 1910 and 1915, returning to it and repainting it several times. It is a meditation on the cycle of human existence, in which the colourful ornament of life is set against the solitary figure of death. The work is among the most important in the collection of the Leopold Museum in Vienna.
