A print of “Niagara” by Frederic Edwin Church on your wall
A green, translucent wall of water bends in an arc and collapses into white mist, over which a rainbow hangs. Church's Niagara is wall art for interiors that need sweep: a long hotel corridor, a reception, a swimming pool and spa area, but also a wide wall above the sofa in a living room. The cold green and white suit minimalist interiors of concrete, glass and chrome, as well as bathrooms in grey stone. The original has a proportion of more than 2:1, so the only sensible choice is a panorama - we recommend a width from 180 cm, or photo wallpaper that turns the whole wall into a waterfall. On 5 mm acrylic glass the water gains depth and a glassy sheen; Dibond gives the effect of a matt, calm surface. Enter any dimension in the artMonte configurator - we print the Niagara reproduction exactly for your wall.

Niagara
About the artwork
Frederic Edwin Church placed the viewer right at the brink of the Horseshoe Falls, on the Canadian side, without a scrap of land in the foreground - the water seems to pour out of the picture. Above the falling mass, spread across almost 2.3 metres of width, a rainbow appears. The painting of 1857 was exhibited in New York as a stand-alone attraction with paid admission, then travelled around England and brought the artist international fame. It is regarded as a symbol of the American landscape and belongs to the National Gallery of Art in Washington.
