John Everett Millais

English painter, co-founder of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and child prodigy of the Royal Academy, which admitted him at the age of 11. He was famous for his meticulous realism and poetic literary scenes, and at the end of his life became President of the Royal Academy.
