A print of “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte” by Georges Seurat on your wall
Sunshine, green grass, parasols and water glinting between the trees - Seurat painted this picture of a Sunday's rest so that you want to live in it. A print of A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte brings summer weather into a room all year round: fresh greens, blues and warm oranges pair well with white, rattan and pale oak. It is wall art for a living room, dining room or sunny veranda, and for a waiting room where guests should feel at ease. The wide crop can hang above a sofa, or choose wallpaper that turns a wall into a park on the Seine - up close you can then see the texture of the dots. Dibond draws out the precision of the pointillism; 5 mm acrylic glass adds luminosity to the colours. Enter your own dimensions in the artMonte configurator and we will print the wall art in the proportions you choose.

About the artwork
A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte shows Parisians at leisure on the banks of the Seine: strolling couples, rowers, children, dogs and the famous lady with a monkey. Georges Seurat worked on the canvas between 1884 and 1886, building the image from thousands of tiny dots of pure colour that only merge in the viewer's eye. This method, called pointillism, made the painting a manifesto of Neo-Impressionism. The monumental canvas is today among the most treasured works in the Art Institute of Chicago.
