A print of “Four Trees” by Egon Schiele on your wall
A setting sun in bands of orange and blue, beneath it a row of chestnut trees in rust and copper, with one tree already almost bare - Egon Schiele's Four Trees is a landscape of extraordinary stillness. Schiele wall art suits a living room in a warm, earthy palette with walnut furniture and wool fabrics, a classic-style study and a bedroom meant to hold the mood of late afternoon. We recommend the horizontal format, in a proportion close to 4:5, above a sofa or chest of drawers; the banded composition also bears enlargement to wallpaper behind a bed. Dibond gives the autumn colours a matt, soft nobility, while 5 mm acrylic glass deepens the sunset and adds sky. A print of Four Trees in a size matched to your wall: enter the dimensions in the artMonte configurator and we will print the picture exactly to that measure.

Four Trees
About the artwork
Four autumn chestnut trees stand in a row against a banded sky in which the sun is setting low over the horizon; one of the trees has almost lost its leaves, the others blaze with russet red and brown. Schiele painted Four Trees in 1917, a year before his death, in a phase when his landscapes gained calm and a horizontal, layered rhythm. The painting is sometimes read as an allegory of transience. It belongs to the collection of the Belvedere in Vienna.
