A print of “Composition VIII” by Wassily Kandinsky on your wall
A black circle with a violet halo, yellow and blue triangles, thin lines crossing a pale plane like a musical score - Composition VIII is rhythm written in colour and geometry. A print of Kandinsky's Composition VIII suits interiors that value order and energy at the same time: a loft with a concrete ceiling, a modern office, a conference room or a mid-century living room with pale wood and graphite fabrics. The original is horizontal in proportion, so we recommend a wide crop above a sofa or a long table. On Dibond the white of the ground becomes matt and calm and the geometry takes on an architectural gravity; on 5 mm acrylic glass the lines and coloured figures gain sharpness and brilliance, as if they were floating above the wall. Kandinsky wall art in a size matched to your interior: in the artMonte configurator you enter any dimension and we print exactly for that wall.

Composition VIII
About the artwork
Against a light, almost white ground unfolds an arrangement of circles, triangles, semicircles and intersecting lines; in the upper left corner a dark circle surrounded by a violet halo dominates. Kandinsky painted Composition VIII in 1923, during his years at the Bauhaus in Weimar, and considered it the high point of his post-war work. The picture marks the transition from the expressive abstraction of the pre-war years to cool, geometric precision. Today it belongs to the collection of the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
