A print of “The Yellow Cow” by Franz Marc on your wall
Sunny yellow in full leap, beneath it red and green, in the background cobalt mountains - Franz Marc's The Yellow Cow is a painting about joy that can be felt from the other end of the room. A print of The Yellow Cow brings warmth to a dining room with a pale table and mid-century chairs, brightens a kitchen with white fronts, and in a restaurant or café becomes the motif guests remember. We recommend the horizontal format, in a proportion of about 3:4, above a table, bench or sideboard; in a restaurant the motif works wonderfully as full-wall wallpaper. On PVC board you get a light, moisture-resistant print for the kitchen, and on 5 mm acrylic glass the cow's yellow takes on a juicy brilliance and depth. Marc wall art in any size: in the artMonte configurator you enter the dimensions of the wall and we print to that measure, without compromise.

The Yellow Cow
About the artwork
A great yellow cow in a joyful leap fills almost the whole canvas; behind her rise blue mountains, and beneath her hooves lie patches of red, green and violet. Franz Marc painted The Yellow Cow in 1911, when he married Maria Franck and co-founded the Der Blaue Reiter group; scholars often read the painting as a cheerful tribute to the marriage. In Marc's theory yellow stood for femininity and gentleness. The work is in the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
