A print of “Kennet” by William Morris on your wall
Indigo, ochre and white - Kennet is Morris in a cooler, more elegant key. This botanical pattern was designed as a textile, but as wallpaper or patterned wallpaper on the wall of a study, bedroom or library it gains a monumental character. A Kennet print fits perfectly into English style with a classic note: navy walls, a leather armchair, a brass lamp and shelves full of books. The shades of blue and mustard also suit nautical interiors and modern ones with walnut wood. William Morris wall art as a panorama creates a striking backdrop above a bed or sofa, and a square crop a bold accent beside a desk. On Dibond the pattern resembles stretched fabric; on 5 mm acrylic glass the indigo takes on depth. Choose the dimensions freely in the artMonte configurator.

About the artwork
The pattern of 1883, named after the River Kennet, a tributary of the Thames, was created in Morris's workshops at Merton Abbey. It was made using the technique of block printing on indigo-dyed cotton, from which the colour was discharged where the pattern was to appear. Diagonally winding branches, leaves and flowers form a dynamic yet ordered repeat. Morris gave his patterns the names of English rivers, emphasising their connection with the native landscape and the tradition of craftsmanship.
