A print of “Composition VII” by Wassily Kandinsky on your wall
An explosion of pink, green, blue and ochre, woven by black lines into a vortex with neither beginning nor end - Composition VII is Kandinsky's most tempestuous painting and one of the key works of abstraction. A print of Composition VII brings movement to spacious, sparsely furnished interiors: a loft with a brick wall, a living room with a grey sofa and a concrete floor, a hotel lobby or an open-plan office that needs a point where the eye can come to rest. The original has a horizontal 2:3 proportion, so we suggest a large panoramic format; for a whole wall, wallpaper works beautifully and turns the room into a fragment of the canvas. On Dibond the colours settle into a matt, museum-like nobility; on 5 mm acrylic glass they gain depth and brilliance. Enter the dimensions of your wall in the artMonte configurator and we will print the painting exactly to that measure.

Composition VII
About the artwork
Swirling patches of colour, colliding arcs and nervous black contours fill a canvas measuring two by three metres; in the centre an oval shape can be made out, around which a chaos of forms dissolves. Kandinsky painted Composition VII in Munich in November 1913, after several dozen sketches, and finished the canvas itself in a few days. Scholars read into it motifs of the Flood, the Last Judgement and the Resurrection. The painting, regarded as the artist's most complex work, belongs to the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.
