Władysław Podkowiński

Polish painter and illustrator, one of the first Impressionists in Poland and a forerunner of Symbolism. He died of tuberculosis at the age of 29, and in 1894 his Frenzy of Exultations caused the greatest artistic scandal in the history of Warsaw.
